Peggy Sheahan Knee was sworn in as President-Elect of the New Jersey State Bar Association on May 17, 2007.


Peggy Sheahan Knee was recently elected as a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.


Peggy Sheahan Knee is the author of a new publication by Lexis Nexis entitled "New Jersey Probate and Estate Administration", 2007 Edition, which is part of the new Lexis Nexis Practice Guide series.


Robert A. Knee received an award from the New Jersey State Bar Association on December 8, 2006 for his participation in the preparation of the amicus curiae brief in Lewis v. Harris, a New Jersey Supreme Court decision which addressed the right of gays and lesbians to marry.


Peggy Sheahan Knee co-authored the brief and argued on behalf of the New Jersey State Bar Association as amicus curiae in the Matter of Mildred Keri, which concerns the ability of a guardian to make gifts on behalf of a mentally incapacitated person. In a unanimous decision, the New Jersey Supreme Court ruled that the guardian was authorized to make gifts on behalf of his or her incapacitated ward for the purpose of Medicaid spend down, and cited the New Jersey State Bar Association's brief in their decision.
