At The Knee Law Firm, LLC, with offices in Hackensack, we bring more than 60 years of collective legal experience to individuals and businesses throughout Bergen County. We are primarily a full-service trust and estate counsel boutique practice, offering the scope of services common at a large law firm with the personal service and access found at small law office. We can also advise on most matters related to estates, including real property, asset protection, Medicaid planning, tax and business succession planning. We built our successful practice on a commitment to communication. We’ll keep you informed of all developments in your case, as well as your options, so that you can make the right decisions to protect your interests.
Throughout our years in practice, we have worked hard to maintain a high level of professional knowledge and skill, and to give back to our profession and our community. Attorney Peggy Sheahan Knee is certified as an elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation, and has been named a member of the Council of Advanced Practitioners. A former president of the New Jersey Bar Association, Peggy was the 2013 recipient of the Dorothy G. Black Distinguished Service Award for her contributions to the development of probate law in New Jersey.
Attorney Robert A. Knee was honored with the Arthur S. Horn Distinguished Service Award in January, 2017 by the state bar’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section. Peggy and Robert are the only husband and wife team ever to both chair the Real Property, Trust and Estate Law section of the state bar. Robert also serves of the District Ethics Committee.
